Hello and Welcome! My name is Lauren and I am a psychotherapist in my final year of training at the Metanoia Institute, London.
I offer a person centred approach to therapy and my hope is to create a safe, empathic and confidential space for us to explore any challenges or difficulties you may be experiencing. You may be entering therapy in great distress and are in need of hope. Struggling with anxiety and/or depression or dealing with loss or change can sometimes feel too much to face alone. You might be feeling unlike yourself and you are unsure why. Whatever the reason, you do not need to face this alone. My goal is to walk along side you and support you wherever you find yourself.
In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there's something stronger – something better, pushing right back
- Albert Camus
My Approach
“When a person realises he has been deeply heard, his eyes moisten. I think in some real sense he is weeping for joy. It is as though he were saying, "Thank God, somebody heard me. Someone knows what it's like to be me.”
Carl R. Rogers
The above quote was written by the founder of the person-centred approach. As a person centred therapist I strive to create a supportive, accepting and safe environment for you to discuss and explore anything that feels important to you. My hope is that you will feel fully heard, seen and accepted and can freely talk about the things that are troubling you. We all lose our way sometimes but together we can find a way out of the dark and things can start to feel a little brighter and more hopeful.
